Samantha and I met briefly during our Master’s Degree Program and while we were both Resident Assistants at West Virginia University… but didn’t become close until we both accepted positions in the same department at West Virginia University. Anyone that knows us will say that we’re complete opposites, but we get along just fine… maybe opposites do attract? We enjoy calling ourselves the Elphaba and Galinda of Residential Education.
Samantha holds an MA in Educational Leadership Studies and a BA in Music, Education & Voice Principle. While at WVU Sam was involved with Sigma Alpha Iota, Dean’s List, Women’s Choir, Women’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble, University Choir, Steel Band, Taiko Ensemble, and African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
She is credited with a portion of my love of Disney world, and introduced me to another wonderful person in my life that you will meet later this week as a brideamaid! In her free time Sam enjoys drinking wine and pinning on pinterest… okay, that’s only partly a joke… but I enjoy the company when I’m doing the same thing. She dabbles in gardening, doing what is best for the environment, and yoga.
